An Italian law firm founded in 1948, Chiomenti has an international outlook with offices in Rome, Milan, Brussels, New York, Beijing as well as London. This project involved the refurbishment of their Mayfair office over a period of 6 weeks.
From the outset we faced challenges with this project. Our initial conversation with Chiomenti took place a mere two weeks before the work was due to begin.
We took part in a three way pitch process during which time we fully understood their requirements and were able to provide a breakdown of the budget showing our indicative prices, design, concepts, colour sets and a schedule of the works which was to happen over the Christmas period to allow for minimal disruption.
The location of the London office is Berkeley Square and we had to manage dealing with a listed building. This meant that we had to manage specific elements of the building regulations to ensure the floor we were refurbishing was in keeping with the rest of the building.
The project was successfully completed on time and within budget. There were a number of additional requirements given to us by the customer, but this was all managed as part of the overall project plan.
We are now waiting for the go ahead to refit another floor within the building next year.
